So this is how far behind I am on blogging! Daniel & Samuel celebrated their 5th birthdays on December 23rd. I can NOT believe they are 5 years old and Daniel is SO excited to start school!

Trying to get rid of....

So this is a strange post.....but long story short, I ordered some meds for Daniel and was mailed some Insulin syringes. They are 30 gauge 1/2". I used to have to give Daniel shots pre-transplant. THat was over 2 years ago, why they sent them, I dont' know. But they don't take them back. Is there anyone out there that would like them? I have 120 of them here, unopened. Let me know! I will be glad to have them go to good use.

Wednesday is over....

So literally all I did was make a jelly roll pan full of cinnamon rolls, birthday cupcakes and pies. Here is the list of pies:

1. Cherry
2. Apple
3. Butterscotch
4. Chocolate
5. Egg Nog (new this year! Sounds yummy!)
6. Pecan
7. 2 Pumpkins

YES! We love our desserts around here! This is for our Christmas Eve dinner (we like to have our big meal on Christmas eve and then play all day on Christmas!) and left overs on Christmas and probably Sunday, too! YUM!

Twin's 5th birthday is today. Can't believe it. List of things to do today:

1. Make pizza and french fries (twin's request for their b-day meal)
2. Make Gert's Veggie dip
3. Cut up veggies for the veggie tray
4. Make rolls

Those are my kitchen duties today! We have clean house duties today, too! Sortof de-junk some spaces to get ready for the new Christmas presents! Getting excited! Everyone have a Merry Christmas!

Cub Scouts, Cookies, Santa, Pinata & Lunar Eclipse

Here are Ryan, Comptyn and Bryce after a pack meeting last week. They earned quite a bit of awards. Translation, mom has a lot to put on shirts!

So our friends the Youles came over and we decorated sugar cookies one day after school.



Friday night was our ward Christmas party. It was a lot of fun. Lots of delicious food and of course a visit from one of Santa's helpers. The twins figured it out quick that this was not the real Santa as he is too busy getting ready for Christmas. But they said that he will still get their message.

Bryce with Santa. We asked Santa to tell Bryce how to get back on the nice list. He has been on the naughtly list for a while. So far it has worked! He has been doing well.

So it's a Lords' family tradition to have a pinata on Christmas Eve after Family Home Evening. So here is our attempt at making one for Family Home Evening last night. First picture is what we started with....we wanted a snow man.

Ryan jumped right in to get slimy.

Nathan wasn't too timid. Comptyn, took some time, but by then my hands were goopy and the twins didn't want anything to do with it.

Bryce eventually joined....notice we are giving up on the snowman idea. It's now gonna be either an ornament, Santa face or something else.....We'll see when it's time to decorate!

All the help lasted about 10 minutes. Kevin and I finished it up.



So last night was a lunar eclipse for those of you that are celestially impared (not religiously or anything!) The boyz have been begging for about a week to get woken up and watch it. It started at 10:30 and lasted until about midnight. So we were still awake at 10:30 and woke Ryan, Comptyn and Bryce up. Notice who lasted for more than about 2 minutes?


Comptyn went back to bed. I am surprised he remembers anythign this morning. He was pretty out of it. We watched for about 25 minutes until it was almost 1/2 covered.

Catching Up.....AGAIN!

So when I started typing in the title of this post, I had 4 other Catching Up titles pop up! YIKES! I seem to be behind in everything! So here are some November pictures from Thanksgiving then we'll move to current. I'll have brief descriptions to keep it short!

We had the GREAT privledge of having Preston Jensen and Spencer Wolverton, 2 missionaries that served here in Fallon, come visit. We had them over for dinner and then a small open house for people to come see them. We sure love these boys and it was great to see them NOT as missionaries. Here they are warding off our boyz! I neglected to get the camera out after this wrestling scene. So I didn't get any 'good' pictures of them. I have a great love for missionaries knowing I have 6 future ones.



So here is my ADORABLE great nephew (YES....that makes me a GREAT aunt..in more ways than one!) Anyhow, this is Dean. He is a CHUNK! 20 lbs and not even 6 months old. So this was at Thanksgiving.

I was so busy helping with dinner and playing games I forgot to get out the camera to take pictures before and during dinner. Here is the aftermath....not too bad. It was a small gathering as it was time to spend it with the 'outlaws' families this year. (We alternate)

Comptyn and Bryce made the centerpieces in Cub Scouts. They were pretty proud that they could, "Help Aunt Beth Anne so that Thanksgiving would be easier for her." (She was in charge this year.)

Can't EVER get a gathering with out some kick ball!

So our dear friend's the Sommer family invited us back for their annual Gingerbread making party. The older boys all decided we were going to do.....can you tell?

Hagrid's Hut! Of course, Harry Potter. So I haven't read the books yet....my boyz keep bugging me to. So there is a pumpkin patch, Hagrid and his dog (Hagrid is 2 gummy bears on top of each other....so he is taller). Off to the right is Harry (with dark hair) and Malfoy(with white hair).

Here is Malfoy looking into Hagrid's hut. They boys were hilarious and are VERY proud of our creation!



These are the Christmas crafts I FINALLY finished! I didn't do as many as I would have liked. I just barely finished last night. (12/14) I am usually done by 12/1 so I can enjoy December.

We give a Christmas ornament every year at the Christmas Eve dinner. And I like to make it have something to do with the year. So our 'BIG' thing for 2010 hasn't happened yet. The week after Christmas we are going to go to the families first BYU basketball game. Hence I made these ornaments. SO easy!

Here are the ornaments Kevin's office staff is getting. Green & White are their school colors.

The next 4 pictures are blocks I made with a different word on each side. I have a set on my fireplace mantel that I love.




A count down until Christmas. YES! They aren't going to get used too much this year since I haven't even handed htem out yet! But next year.....

Merry Christmas!

I am thankful for.......

OK, so this isn't what you are thinking it's going to be about. I have yet to put our Thanksgiving on here. I will soon. But we have had an unusual week this week. Our nephew, who has been struggling with depression for years, put an end to that struggle on Monday. We are leaving tomorrow for Utah to attend his funeral. His mother is an amazing woman! She HAS to be an elect lady to go thru this again. (Her husband was killed 12 years ago, now her son.) Cole was 28 years old and married to Lindsey. I have had all week to think about how grateful I am for the Atonement. Not only for the fact that we will see Cole again someday and that he is with his father, but for the mercy that we recieve from our Savior. I know that Cole will be given mercy in this decision. I haven't heard anyone voice it yet, but I know I use to think that people who commit suicide have no hope of any kind of forgiveness for their actions. I am thankful that One who has experienced EVERYTHING we will ever go thru will be the one to stand by our side and extend that mercy when it comes to reporting our acts here on Earth. I am thankful for my Savior. I know He loves us all. I LOVE this time of year when things just seem a little more holier. A little more tender. A little more sacred. It's because of Him. Hope your holidays are safe and happy and filled with great memories with family and friends!
