This first picture is of all my boyz ready to go to church! That activity and movement you 'see' in the picture NEVER stopped! Church wasn't very good that day! :-)

The other pictures is of Sammy and his new 'talent'......putting things up his nose! UGH!

New Scoop on Poop, Part Pooh....I mean Part 2!

Two days after the "buried treasure" of Bryce's we had another poop incident! Wednesday night Kevin was out doing Bishop things and I had the 4 older boyz in bed. The twins were still awake, but about to go down. We pull our little love seat across the entrance to the hallway so the twins don't go down the hall to bug the other boyz while they are going to sleep. Anyhow, Nathan comes out about 8:30 and all I can see is from his shoulders up. He says sheepishly, "Mom, I need another pull up. I pooped my pants." I gave a HUGE sigh, yet remained calmed that my 3 1/2 year old still couldn't get to the bathroom quick enough! (It had also been a VERY long day and week for that matter.....and it was only Wednesday!) Anyhow, I grab a pull up and go to climb over the couch. What my eyes beheld was just the beginning of things to come. Nathan's bare butt with border line diarrhea smeared all over plus down both inside thighs. There were 3 poopy foot prints on my carpet in the hall. As I rounded the corner to the bathroom I discovered a room that probably should have been condemned! Poop foot prints EVERYWHERE! He must have leaned against the wall because about Nathan Butt high was a smear of poop! Glancing at the toilet I found poop smeared down the front of the toilet when he got down. Apparently he tried to put some in the toilet. I looked to see, if in fact, he did get any in the toilet (must be a mom thing!) but couldn't tell because HALF of the toilet paper was in the toilet and expanded to about 3 inches from the rim! At that point I yelled at Nathan! Actually it was more of a loud begging......"Nathan! Why can't you go poop and pee in the toilet?" Then I did this growl thing I do when I get frustrated....Sammy will imitate it for you when he gets frstrated, too, if you ever want to hear it. Nathan then started crying and saying, "Mommy, I'm sorry I pooped on your floor." (Prior to the poop thing, he was peeing on the bathroom floor almost daily because he held it too long. So we'd had MANY discussions about getting the the bathroom BEFORE we actually are doing the pee pee dance.) Anyhow, I grabbed my rubber gloves and got to work. I then sat down and held Nathan and apologized for yelling at him. Thank goodness we had our lesson on repentance a few days earlier!

You'd think that was it, right? WRONG! The next day Nathan (now traumatized by his mother yelling at him) kept saying, "Momma, I'm sorry for pooping on the floor." So just before lunch I sat him down and we talked about how I'm not mad anymore and I was sorry for yelling at him. Nathan said lunch prayer and this was a part of it. ".....bless me I don't poop or pee on floor and bless mommy that she won't yell at me again." GREAT! He was scarred! Then on the way to school he said about 4 times in a 15 minute drive, "Mommy, don't yell at me again, K?" He can lay on the guilt! He seems to be ok now. Hasn't brought it up in a few days! But mommy has learned her lesson......

What's the Scoop on the Poop?

Well, here we go with another (now funny) story about our boyz! Last night during Family Home Evening we were talking about repentance and the 4 steps of repentence:

1. Feel Sorry
2. Ask Forgiveness
3. Right the Wrong
4. Don't do again

Well, we were talking about the 3rd one.....right the wrong. I was giving examples and Comptyn said, "Like how we buried Bryce's poop in a hole?" That certainly got our attention! Come to find out, about an hour earlier Bryce had to go poop outside and the kids were playing in the sand. He squatted and went! The other 3 boys decided to bury it with sand so the twins wouldn't find it. UGH! We then moved on to the 4th step of "DON'T DO AGAIN!" It's now all cleaned up and we don't have to worry about stepping in anything soft! I tell you.....these boyz!!
